Let’s start this festive week with a festive Holiday collection from Dior! I got three posts to show you, so buckle up! First up is a beautiful palette which I enjoyed a lot. It might even be my favourite palette this season. Dior’s Golden Shock collection is like always a gorgeous classic collection. It has the same feel as the last few years, with the Diorific products and the golden packaging. We’re seeing two eyeshadow palettes in this collection and typical to the Dior Holiday theme it has a very glittery eyeshadow in both palettes.

I was very lucky to receive the Golden Shock¬†756 palette, it’s without a doubt my favourite of the two and it might have to do with my purple eyeshadow obsession of lately. The colours create a very elegant look and you can go different ways with this palette. I love the added shimmery topcoat, it makes it so much more versatile. While this is ¬†without a doubt a more festive palette, it is surprisingly more wearable than you’d think.

There are five shades in this palette and they work amazingly well together. We have a dark plummy purple. It sets the tone for the whole palette and it looks beautiful on the skin. While it might look quite purple in the pan, it looks a bit more neutral on the skin. We also have a mauve rose shade that works excellent as a base. The interesting shade of the palette is the pale pink with golden shimmer. It’s the combination of the matte pink with the shimmer that gives an interesting look. It’s a great option to use if you want for something more subtle. We also have a warm golden shade. It leans a bit to a brown but not entirely. The middle shade is a very shimmery golden topcoat with an incredible sparkle!

All the shades worked so well together. Golden Shock is so easy to use, you can’t go wrong with this beauty! I love the mauve eyeshadow, it blends very well with the other shades. The purple is great for people looking to get into purple but want something subtle. It’s not a vibrant purple and it blends very well with the skin tone. If you skip the golden shimmery shade in the middle, you actually have something that could be worn on a daily base. Definitely one of the Holiday palettes that I recommend!
