This part is all about the face. I can tell you one thing already and that is: shimmer! Pretty shimmer though! I think I don’t have to tell you that the already famous Camelia De Plumes powder is the one thing that you need from this collection! But the blush was another thing that caught my eye in this collection. I’ve been won over every Chanel blush that I got and they are simply a cult product. It’s one of those things that you need to give a try at least once!
I’ll start with Camelia de Plumes, the highlighting powder. This comes in a slightly larger compact than the Joues Contraste come in. While the blushes carry a little brush inside the compact, this powder does not. It comes in a velvet pouch with the brush included there. You do get a mirror in the compact itself. Now let’s talk about that gorgeous design! Chanel really does the best designs imho, and this is pure eye candy! The amount of detail is simply stunning! Because of the soft texture of this powder, the design will fade after some uses, but it’s worth it.
Camelia de Plumes is a pale white golden shade. It has a frosty finish with loads of shimmer. The shade has a slight warm tone but you can see that it’s a well-balanced golden/silver shade. The first time I saw it I wasn’t too sure about the finish. It can look a bit intimidating but I can assure you that’s it’s actually a whole lot more wearable than you’d thing. The powder has a very soft, almost creamy texture. It’s very pigmented so I do recommend a loose brush. I used a very fluffy fan brush and it gives the skin the right amount of glowing veil that you need. If you want you can build it up to a very dramatic shine because Camelia de Plumes can do that, it’s all up to you! It’s without a doubt my favourite of the collection and it’s a must-have for all Chanel lovers out there!
We also have the Joues Contraste in Caresse. It’s a shimmery warm peachy shade. You can’t really tell from the pan, but it’s quite shimmery but in a nice way. The pigmentation was good but it has the tendency to be a bit powdery when you swirl your brush into the compact. I’d say that Caresse is best for those with a light to medium/light skin tone because it is a light shade. It gives the skin a nice warm glowing effect. It’s a great blush to pair with a golden eye look, like the promotional photos of the Plumes Precieuses collection. Another great blush to have!
