dior diorshow

We’re seeing plenty of backstage looks these days! Did you also know that Dior has an entire collection named ‘Backstage Pros‘? It contains all the basics you need to create a look with flawless skin, beautiful eyes and luscious lips. I’m starting this series with the lashes. The Diorshow mascaras belong to many people’s holy grail because it’s that good. You can go for volume, curl, length or everything at once! A perfect partner to these mascaras is the lash plumping serum, but I’ll tell you more about that below. If you never tried the Diorshow range before you can always consider it because it’s a range that have already proven itself to be amazing.

dior diorshow maximizer serum

So step one is the Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum. This comes in a white tube and it’s hard to miss it. The idea behind this serum is to intensify the effect of the mascara. It will plump up your lashes, making them thicker, fuller and longer. It also has long-term effects and will make the lashes stronger. The serum has a white texture which will make your lashes look a bit white. No worries though because the mascara will cover everything. A great plus about this serum is that it’s not too dry. I find dry lash primers/serum make the mascara go on really clumpy but that’s not the case. It also doesn’t weigh down the lashes. What you will get though is ticker fuller and longer lashes.

dior diorshow iconic overcurl

Step two is the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara. I already did a review on this before and my love for this mascara has not changed ever since. The brush of this mascara is curved and it makes reaching each lash really easy. The formula is really great although it is slightly on the wet side. What I usually do is wait a bit until the mascara has become a bit drier and then there is no problem. The best part about Overcurl is how it doesn’t clump up even after putting lots and lots of coats on. It’s great at separating and lengthening too. I usually go for extra volume and I’d say the volume of the Overcurl is not bad but it can’t beat Givenchy Noir Couture.

These make a great team but you can easily combine the serum with any mascara you like. They both last for a whole day without flaking and you don’t have to worry about panda eyes either. Stay tuned for more soon!

  2. Hi Teri! So funny yesterday I bought the iconic overcurl and then after that I saw your review! I’ve worn it for the first time ever today and yes it’s nice 🙂

  3. Love these two so much!

  4. The products are nice but can I have your brows instead, please!!! 😀 😀 I have the white primer and I love it, too! Though I’ve been a little bit more into UD Subversion primer these days. 🙂

  5. Sounds pretty good. And yet for mascara more budgetproof brands always seem to work better for me, isn’t that funny?

  6. dat serum ziet er grappig uit 🙂

  7. I have so much love for both of these! It’s true that Noir Couture might be another bit more volumizing though!
