My previous post was all about the new Estee Lauder palettes and today it’s about the lipsticks. With the launch of the new palettes they also launched four new lipstick shades which are limited edition. They come in the Pure Color Envy formula, the newest lipstick addition to Estee Lauder’s make-up line. It’s really good and if you haven’t tried it you should really consider it. If you are a fan of great pigmentation, creamy finishes and long-lasting colours, then read on!
The Pure Color Envy lipsticks have a very similar feel like the new eye shadow palettes. The sleek blue glosst packaging, the gold accents and the magnetic closing. Also a new improved formula with the most modern technology that today’s cosmetics has to offer. The new lipsticks have a subtle vanilla scent instead of the fig scent and they all have a modern creamy finish. The thing that I love the most is the consistency of the line. The quality is there in every shade and you don’t get the feeling that you have to test your luck when you buy a shade.
Eccentric is a soft light to medium pink coral. It has a nice creamy finish. The pigmentation is perfection yet again. Is this another one of those corals that I seem to hamster at a crazy rate? No, it’s not. At first sight it looks more like a soft pink but it has a slight coral tone to it, especially when you have warm toned lips. The tone of this shade is also a lot lighter than any of the pink/corals I own. It’s great as an everyday pink shade and it’s easily to combine with so many looks because it’s not a shade that tends to overpower the overall look. It goes great with heavier eye-looks and I love that it’s a rather warm toned pink shade.
The wear time of these lipsticks are great. They wear for 8 hours straight on me and they feel comfortable on the lips. They are not slippery and they do not travel everywhere when you eat something messy. Eccentric is a great shade for any make-up collection, I’m definitely very happy with it!
