One of the last pieces of my picks for the Chanel Fall 2014 collection is the Rouge Coco Shine in Viva. We’re seeing a nice range of Rouge Coco Shines in this collection with mostly plummy tones. It’s a perfect match with the rest of the look. You can go nude or subtle with Intime and Confident or you can opt for something with more colour like Viva and Aura. The subtle or not so subtle plummy tones compliment the look perfectly.
I really do love me some Rouge Coco Shines. At first they didn’t really speak to me because I thought they were really sheer but it’s not the case anymore. You might have noticed that you have two kinds of Rouge Coco Shines, the more sheer ones and the one that really are pigmented. I really love the latter although I also love the convenience of a sheer lip colour. The range carries both options and I’m very happy they offer such variety.
Viva 95 is a medium pinky plum with micro shimmer. The first thing I noticed is that it felt slightly less emolient than usual. The balmy feeling was less apparent but in a very subtle way. Once on the lips though it melts into the skin and gets that hydrating balmy feeling again. Viva has an interesting finish. It has a gorgeous dimension with the very tiny shimmer and makes it a lot more intense. The finish is very glossy with the semi sheerness. It’s very easy to apply and leaves the lips with a nice touch of plummy pinkness!
Depending on the pigmentation of your lips this will look more or less intense. It’s a great pick for fall and you can wear it as soft or intense as you want. That’s the fun part of this lipstick! I like it a bit more intense and I also love how Viva brightens up the face. It’s a simple step with a maximum impact if you ask me!
