After trying my first Catrice lipstick I knew I was hooked. Who doesn’t loves a good, cheap lipstick? I really can’t say anything bad about them, they are that good in my opinion! The first lipstick was an Ultimate Colour lipstick and today I’m reviewing an Ultimate shine lipstick.
The big difference between the two are obviously the finishes, the Ultimate Colour ones are a bit more pigmented while the Ultimate Shine lipsticks have more of a shine. They have gorgeous colours in both lines. I personally prefer the ones without any glitter, I think they look more modern and sophisticated, but that’s personal preference.
The Ultimate Shine lipsticks come in the same packaging as the Ultimate Colour one, but the colour is silver and the Ultimate Colours are black. The packaging is really sturdy and they don’t look or feel like cheap plastic. They contain 3.5g of product and are 3.99 euro. The lipsticks have a slight vanilla scent but it doesn’t really linger.
Kiss Kiss Hibiskiss is a bright slightly warm toned pink. This is not a colour for the faint hearted. The finish has a pretty shine and it has no glitters or shimmers. Kiss Kiss Hibiskiss goes on very pigmented despite it’s shiny formula (I find some lipsticks with a glossy finish kind of sheer). The formula goes on really smoothly on the lips and it feels actually slightly moisturising. I also find that this shade doesn’t clings to dry patches on the lips. The weartime is really nice too. Although this formula is a bit slippery, it doesn’t disappears very fast as some of the lipsticks with some slip tends to do. It leaves a nice pink stain on your lips that looks a bit more wearable.
For the people who are a bit scared to wear such a bright colour of lipstick, you can always blot it down so it becomes a bit more subtle, although this shade is not really meant to be subtle.
