I don’t own a lot of lipliners because I mainly just skip the whole liplining thing, but for bolder colours I find that lining the lips first makes it easier. When I saw these cheap lipliners from Catrice (around 2 euro) I thought ‘why not’ and bought two of them in natural colours. You’ve got to love Catrice for their cheap prices, pretty packaging and mostly good products. The lipliners are really simple but sleek in their black packaging. The top of the liners indicate what colour they are, which I find very handy.
In the packaging the two colours look quite similar but once I swatched them they are quite different. They are retractable lip liners so no need to sharpen them. Lost in Rose Wood is a pink shade with a purple undertone to it, which makes it almost mauve. It’s a cool colour and perfect for a natural lipliner for people with cool toned lips. Nude Religion is a pinky beige shade with more of a neutral undertone in it. It’s the perfect natural colour for me and I love this to line my lips. They both have a mat finish without any shimmers in it, so its really perfect. They glide on easy without tugging the skin and are easy to work with. The staying power of these are quite decent, they don’t survive a meal though, but for the price I think you can’t expect that. In the meantime I also bought a darker colour and will test ths out, because darker colours last longer in my experience.
All in all, I really love these lip liners and recommend them.
